Hyperhidrosis
Everyone sweats but for some people it's way beyond what an antiperspirant can handle. Hyperhidrosis is a disorder that makes you sweat more than you need to. In primary hyperhidrosis, the cause is unknown and can affect specific areas, such as the underarms, hands, feet, and face.
The good news about hyperhidrosis is that it can be successfully treated. There are several options, but there’s no single “right” way to treat hyperhidrosis.
Botox can help! Botox therapeutic injections are an effective way to treat excessive underarm sweating, 95% of patients experienced an average reduction.
The treatment is simple. A small amount of the drug is injected intradermally into the affected area. The needle is injected just under the skin and any discomfort is minimal.
Migraine Treatment
As a chronic migraine sufferer, you likely experience headaches several days each month, and these headaches likely last for hours at a time. Botox can be prescribed to help prevent these headaches.
Botox is injected by needle into 31 to 39 sites in 7 specific head and neck muscle areas. These areas may be contributing to your headaches. Your doctor will determine the number of injections and injection sites to treat your specific condition.
TMJ Treatment
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is located on both sides of the head at the point where the jawbone meets the skull. The temporomandibular joint is used during talking, eating, swallowing, and other everyday activities. If this joint becomes displaced or is overworked through excessive teeth grinding, a person may suffer severe tension headaches, as well as a sharp pain in the jaw.
Botox was once reserved for lessening the tell-tale signs of aging, such as annoying wrinkles and frown lines. But more recently Botox injections are being used more frequently as a great alternative treatment for more troublesome maladies such as TMJ, which may include headache, clenching/grinding and sleep bruxism. Scientific studies have shown that patients who received Botox injections experienced significant improvements in pain, function, ability to open their mouth and levels of tenderness to palpation. Botox relieves jaw tension by making muscles unable to engage in the powerful, often the unconscious movement of the jaw that produces headaches and pain.
